A LONG DEVELOPMENT
The premium idea started in 2018.
Daggerr began exploring the concept that became Nightmare in 2018. Drawings and executions changed repeatedly over roughly six years before the model was shown publicly in 2024.
The 2025 family moved the idea into CPM MagnaCut blades and titanium handles. Rather than making one premium knife at one scale, Daggerr carried the same design language across three blade lengths.

99, 77 or 63 millimeters.
The number in Nightmare 77 and Nightmare 63 refers directly to blade length. The standard Nightmare uses a 99 mm blade, giving the family three deliberately different carry scales.

THE DETAILS THAT CONNECT IT TO DAGGERR
Daggerr Hole, thumb stud and X-Lock.
Nightmare was developed with different opening executions, including versions with Daggerr's functional signature hole and versions with a thumb stud. The standard size also explored different grind treatments.
The family uses Daggerr's X-Lock crossbar-style mechanism. That combination of a premium material brief with recognizable interfaces is what connects Nightmare to the broader Daggerr design language rather than treating material names as the whole story.
A NAME FROM THE DRAWING BOARD
Why “Nightmare”?
The name was born inside Daggerr. When an employee saw the grind on the drawings, he joked that sharpening it would be a nightmare. The offhand comment stayed and became the model name.
